Vocational Rehabilitation

Vocational rehabilitation is to assist the client in returning back to either the same job, a modified position, or some other gainful employment following an injury. Health Connection of Illinois provides medical case management along with the following vocational rehabilitation services:

• Personal vocational assessment

• Vocational testing

• Vocational planning and counseling

• Job analysis

• Labor market survey

• Job seeking skills training

• Job placement

• Create and revise resumes

• Assistance with learning appropriate interviewing skills

Health Connection of Illinois primary goal is to assist clients in a successful return to their pre-injury job. If that objective proves not to be in the best interest of the involved parties, our next step is to place them in alternative employment, commensurate with their physical limitations. Our job placement specialists conduct career exploration exercises with the patient to selectively identify open jobs and then schedule and attend job interviews until such time an employment resolution is accomplished.
